Cupcakes galore

we went for a walk a couple of days ago and this is what we saw... isn't this house beautiful? i wish it was mine!

they even had those little lemon tree standing in front of it..

No, i don't mean i love eating them, well of course i do, but i love them so much that i even love taking pix of them. i could take pictures of those little beautiful thingies all day!
and that's why i'm posting pix of these all the time. like right now.

i received this adorable necklace from beth the other day.
feel free to stop by at her shop, she has some gorgeous handmade jewellery!
the purchase arrived gift wrapped and ready to give away (but beeing the selfish me that i am i'm keeping it all for myself).
she even threw in some wonderful alice in wonderland stickers!

that's what i wore.



so we went to the opening party of a lounge called Well & Style yesterday. they even had a free buffet, but the food tasted pretty...well, let's say, there was no taste at all. looked ok, tasted like wet paper.
on top of that they told as at the bar that they don't sell any alcohol.
well don't get me wrong, we're not addicts but we wanted to get a little wasted (i rarely drink but yesterday would have been nice), as crazy as it sounds. but no, not this time.
so we clinged to non-alcoholic beer and coke.
but to compensate the bad foodand the no alcohol situation, the live acts were really cool.
you can give them a listen here and here (second one sings in german tho, but great voice nonetheless).

and look what the beau just gave me- a monkey! and such a cute one! his name is bonzo by the way.


and he has a bunch of friends, their names are bobo and mimi.

oh and yes, we probably are a little weird, but that's ok in our world.

Tarte au chocolat and some more balloons

and this it was all possible parts of the apartment look like, balloon animals everywhere! well he's really into making them, can you tell? and the next batch of balloons just arrived today...so there's like no end in sight.



we finally put our chandelier up, superfast, after almost just one year in our new apartment! *cough*

so what are you up to this weekend? we're probably going to visit our local irish pub and have some drinks, maybe darts and pool billard too. and because i suck at those little games, i'm going to take some pix of the party crowd instead.

we finally decided on the color for our wedding invitations- they're going to be pink; pale pink to be exactly.
besides shopping for invitations we haven't done that much today. and as always when i'm bored i tend to take pointless pictures, like the ones above. so now you know that elvis and a green squid are living side by side in my kitchen.

and *drummroll* good news- amalie has returned from japan after one long month which felt like forever. so head over to her blog and say hi.
i can't wait for all her pix and to see what cute kitsch she might has bought this time.
i would love to have a penpal from tokyo who provides me with those kind of cute crap like stickers and such. *sigh*

this beeing said, it's time for me to go to bed finally; the beau is snoozing on the couch for like 2 hours now or so. time to switch to bed.

so yesterday i made cupcakes, but at the end i noticed i didn't have enough icing. but nevermind, they were delicious anyways.

my beau learned how to do balloon animals, so he made me a t-rex and a beautiful swan. the t-rex looks more like t-dog though...but hey, he is just getting started and they're his first steps.
we went to some kind of medieval market/ festival saturday, it was pretty interesting but seemed like a farce at the same time. i can't imagine those times have been like that, those people wanted to make it look romantic and fun and all that.
and sure these folks didn't have maccharoni and cheese like we did at some food tent, haha.
